Yongin, located in the center of Southern Seoul Metropolitan Area, is an important transportation hub and a city of high-tech industries with a population reaching one million. It is a unique Urban-Rural Integration City with rich traditions, culture, tourist facilities, and extraordinary agro and livestock products such as Baegok rice.
On behalf of the fifth elected government of Yongin, I commit to creating a happy Yongin where welfare and education and the East and West harmonize, and to promote a citizen-centered administration where all the citizens of Yongin can cooperate and pursue their happiness together.
In order to improve the competitiveness of the regional economy, I will build the R&D City together with businesses, government and schools. I will discover new success factors for each region depending on their regional characteristics; and I will help Yongin evolve into a city where every one can work together by creating job opportunities through the development of social enterprises.
